Growing up, I wanted for nothing. My father provided monetarily for our family and my mother was loving and caring. However this was still an unsaved home, and though many in the world would look upon my upbringing as good, I was still on my way to hell with no hope or want for salvation. I graduated from High School in 1999 and joined the Army where I served oversees for 4 years until returning home in 2003. In December of 2004 we heard about Heritage Baptist Church and my wife Nicole began to attend shortly thereafter. One day I decided to join Nicole at church and it was there that I heard the Gospel clearly presented for the first time and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal saviour. After the service I spoke with the Pastor and asked to be baptized.
From that point on, the Lord has continued a great work in me. Although He has not protected me fully from hardships and trials, He has been faithful in His promises to never leave me nor forsake me while constantly growing me for His service. God has continued to bless me in so many ways through the years. With a wife, that although we were married while unsaved, is still God’s perfect companion in ministry along with four wonderful children; Madilyn, Joie, Lillian and Rogen.
After attending a secular college for several years, working toward a degree in business, the Lord has since guided me to Maranatha Baptist Bible College where I have begun work toward a Pastoral Studies degree.
All of this has been the Lord’s plan to continue to prepare and grow me for His service in His ministry both at Heritage Baptist Church as the Youth Pastor and wherever the Lord leads in the future.
