Micah Potter

Senior Pastor

Micah Potter was born into a pastor’s home in California. He was saved at an early age, and, early on, felt God’s call on his life to become a pastor. At the age of 16, his parents, David and Jean, became missionaries to Hungary. After spending 5 months in Hungary, he returned to the states to begin his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Maranatha Baptist University.

After graduation, he moved to Pennsylvania to attend Calvary Baptist Seminary in Lansdale. While in seminary, he met the love of his life, Jerian. Jerian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Missions from Bob Jones University, and she loves teaching children the Bible. Micah and Jerian married in 2006.

After completing his Master of Divinity, the Potters moved to Henry, Illinois to join Good Shepherd Baptist Church. The Potters served in the church for four years, and Micah served as the assistant pastor their last year at the church.

In 2013, the Potters were called to Marquette Manor Baptist Church in Downers Grove, Illinois. Micah served as youth and assistant pastor and taught in the Christian school. Jerian served in the various ladies’ and children’s ministries. She also enjoyed teaching a ladies’ Bible study and teaching in the Christian school. The Potters were on staff at the church for 10 years.

In 2023, the Potters were called to Heritage Baptist Church in Roscoe Illinois. They enjoy their life with their three girls and their cat.
